The WorkSource team is made up of a network of partners that work together to help our customers return to work. But our labor market doesn’t exist in a vacuum and the economic vitality of our workforce requires dedicated professionals having conversations on two fronts—with both our job seekers and employers.

Our Business Services Team works directly with businesses to respond to their needs, connect them with qualified talent, support them with training reimbursement programs, and help them navigate potential tax credits.

Recently, we were lucky enough to welcome Mike Vezzola into the role of Business Services Manager! Because of this, we wanted to formally introduce Mike to our community and share a little about his background, his new role, and his passions.

Before coming to WorkSource, Mike spent most of his career in broadcast media doing outreach, raising awareness, and finding opportunities to give back to the communities he served. This dedication to uplifting his local community is a throughline for much of his career. “From a young age, I have always wanted to help out others,” says Mike.

Besides working in radio and television, Mike also served as the Executive Director of the North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, while simultaneously serving as the Vice President of the Community Development Corporation and Economic Development Commission—lending him an extensive breadth of knowledge in the world of local business resources.

As our Business Services Manager, Mike plans to apply this experience to our own region so that both employers and employees can thrive.

“A company’s hiring process can be long and arduous,” says Mike. “Whether it’s through the employee vetting process or on-the-job trainings, we can help provide relief to the employer and de-stress the process for them.”

Outside of his career, Mike has lived an exciting life full of interesting experiences. He once flew with the Blue Angels (“It was amazing and terrifying.”) and he also attended a Super Bowl party at rapper 50 Cent’s house. In his free time, Mike loves fishing, kayaking, Boston sports, and pro-wrestling.

We’re so excited with Mike’s addition to our team and encourage our community partners and businesses to join us in welcoming him!
